Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse opens in the neighborhood, Angelo and Maxie’s closes

Based out of Houston but with other restaurants in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse recently opened their first New York City location at 233 Park Avenue South (between 18th and 19th Street). It takes the spot long-filled by Angelo and Maxie's Steakhouse. The menu can be found at http://www.vicandanthonys.com/pdf/NYC-menu.pdf. Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse has been noted as one of the best steakhouses by Zagat, Wine Spectator, Gayot, and Michelin among others, but they will face competition in the neighborhood from BLT Prime, Primehouse New York, Ben & Jack's, Les Halles, and even Strip House near Union Square.
